About TheRoofBill
A new roof is one of the biggest checks most homeowners ever write - $8,000 to $20,000+ for a typical asphalt replacement, far more for metal, tile, or slate. And yet most cost information online is either a single vague national average or a form that sells your phone number to five contractors.
TheRoofBill exists to fix that. We publish itemized, dated, sourced 2026 cost breakdowns - materials, labor, tear-off, permits, contingency - so you can walk into contractor conversations knowing what things should cost, line by line.
Our calculator never asks for your email or phone number. Our methodology page shows exactly how every number is computed. When sources disagree (and on roof costs, they often do), we say so and explain why.
We are not a roofing company and we don't sell leads. The site is supported by display advertising.
